Proposed Responsibilities and Objectives:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding DUMAG’s market presence and driving sales growth.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Qualifying new accounts that align with DUMAG’s core competencies
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Developing a growth strategy focused on customer satisfaction and DUMAG’s profitability
• Promoting DUMAG’s company portfolio and associated products
• Assisting and consulting with customers, understanding their motives, needs, and specifications
• Effectively communicating customer needs to internal stakeholders in engineering, project management, and operations
• Responding to requests for quotes and meeting established quotation deadlines
• Pre-processing engineering of systems and preparing quotations according to DUMAG standards
• Negotiating contracts in alignment with DUMAG’s standard terms and conditions
• Managing projects from start-up to finalization, ensuring customer requirements are met
• Arranging business meetings with prospective end-users and engineering offices
• Providing assistance to the project department and organizing local customer training
• Committing to temporary business trips abroad
• Committing to education through workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated on industry trends and DUMAG products

Market Opportunities:

Your focus will be on market opportunities in Belgium and the Netherlands, particularly in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, waste management, energy, and tank storage industries.

Additionally, there are extended opportunities in France. Key challenges include the tank storage industry’s transition to a zero-emission green market, pressure on emission ceiling levels, and the increasing demand for heat and energy recovery systems, as well as Low NOX and DeNOx systems.

Practical Arrangements:

• Working from a home base
• Regular commitment to meet at DUMAG in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria
• Remote availability and access to DUMAG Software tools (Salesforce CRM)
• Hardware and other company tools to be agreed upon (car, mobile telephone, others)

Job description:

• Commissioning and service of industrial combustion systems, and its parts
• Performing function and acceptance tests
• Software Development and Commissioning PCS7(Step 7 CFC) with S7-400F and TIA Portal with S7-1500F
• Plant Visualization (WINCC, Zenon or similar)
• Fail Safe software development and SIL/PL calculation
• Active participation in feasibility/safety studies
• Working in cooperation with department of project development
• Active client support, also via remote control

YOUR profile…

• Higher technical education or university degree (mechatronics/automation)
• 5+ years of experience as field service and support engineer
• Working knowledge of automatic control, programming and implementation of programmable logic controllers (PLC)
• Capable of understanding, operating and repairing complete system, as well as separate components – valves, actuators, measuring instruments, fans, etc…
• Fluent in written and spoken English including technical English is a must,
• All other languages are a plus
• Willingness to work on international projects
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
